Marche, Conte: "There's no reason for Ricci to step back."

ROME (ITALPRESS) – "Based on what we know today, there are no reasons to ask Ricci to step down." Five Star Movement President Giuseppe Conte stated this during a press conference in Rome, referring to the progressive candidate for the Marche regional elections. "It would be like tarring everyone with the same brush, abandoning the need to evaluate and discern case by case to determine whether an individual administrator is honest or dishonest," he added. "We will ask Ricci, even for direct contracts, to publish the contracts in advance on the regional website, to ensure maximum transparency and a code of ethics that can prevent conflicts of interest. This is also to counteract regulations introduced by this government," Conte explained. "I greatly appreciated Conte's comments on the Marche region and agree with him on strengthening the region's legality, transparency, and oversight of direct contracts, appointments, and consultancies. I thank the Five Star Movement; now let's resume the election campaign and change the Marche region together," commented Matteo Ricci, Democratic Party MEP and candidate for president of the Marche region.
